Bread Pudding

Ingredients
1 package Krusteaz Country White Bread Mix, prepared and cubed (about 4 cups)
2 cups milk
3 eggs
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place cubed bread into 2 quart round casserole dish; set aside.
- In large bowl, blend together milk, eggs, brown sugar, butter or margarine, vanilla, cinnamon and raisins.
- Pour over bread cubes and stir until moistened.
- Place casserole dish in a pan filled with 1/2-inch hot water into the oven.
- Bake 40-50 minutes.
- Peach Bread Pudding: Prepare bread pudding as directed, reducing milk to 1 1/2 cups and adding 1 cup fresh or frozen, diced peaches. Bake as directed. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
- Apple Bread Pudding: Prepare bread pudding as directed, substituting Krusteaz Cinnamon Raisin Bread Mix for Krusteaz Country White Bread Mix and omitting the raisins. Stir in 1 medium, peeled and chopped apple. Bake as directed.
