Ingredients
1 package Krusteaz Scone Mix
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Place scone mix, sugar, brown sugar, water and butter in large bowl. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed 1 minute. Add chocolate chips and continue to mix on low speed 1 minute. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.
- Variation: Sugar Cookies: Prepare chocolate chip cookies as directed, omitting chocolate chips. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract to dough. Form dough into 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon & sugar mixture, if desired. Bake as directed.
- Variation: Chocolate Cinnamon Cookies: Prepare chocolate chip cookies as directed, adding 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to dough. Bake as directed.
