Primary Prep, Ingredients & Nutritional Info

Start with: 1 1/3 Cups Milk (or buttermilk), 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil (or melted butter), 2 eggs

Just three easy steps

  1. // Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease baking pan(s), cast iron skillet, or munffin pan.
  2. // Stir together milk or buttermilk, oil, eggs and full box cornbread mix until moistened. Pour batter into pan(s) or fill mun cups 2/3 full.
  3. // Bake as directed below or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. For muffins, cool 5 minutes; gently loosen and remove from pan. Cool completely and store in tightly covered container.

  • Bacon Wrapped Chipotle Muffins


    Prep 10-15 min Total Time 30 min Servings 12


    12 slices pre-cooked bacon slices

    1 package Krusteaz Chipotle Cornbread Mix

    1 1/3 cups milk

    1/3 cup vegetable oil

    2 eggs

    ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

    ½ cup crushed fried onions

    1. //Heat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a standard muffin pan; wrap slice of bacon around the edge of each muffin cup.
    2. //Place Krusteaz Chipotle Cornbread Mix, milk, oil, eggs, and cheese in a medium bowl; stir until well blended. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups filling 2/3 full, top with fried onions.
    3. //Bake 18-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Makes 12 muffins.
  • Spicy Chipotle Corn Waffles


    Prep 5 min Total Time 25 min Servings 4 waffles


    1 package Krusteaz Chipotle Cornbread Mix

    1 1/3 cup milk

    1/3 cup vegetable oil

    2 eggs

    ½ cup white or yellow corn, optional

    Prepared pulled pork, heated

    Sour cream


    1. //Heat and lightly grease Belgian or conventional waffle iron.
    2. //Place Krusteaz Chipotle Cornbread Mix, milk, oil eggs and corn in a medium bowl; stir until well blended. Pour ½ cup batter into hot waffle iron.
    3. //Cook waffles 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Top with prepared pull pork, sour cream and salsa, if desired. Makes 4 waffles.
