Primary Prep, Ingredients & Nutritional Info

Start with: 1 1/4 Cups Water.

  1. // Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray muffin cups with non-stick cooking spray OR line with paper baking cups.
  2. // Place water and full box muffin mix in medium bowl. Stir until moistened. Gently fold in diced apples (enclosed). Spoon batter into prepared muffin pan, filling 2/3 full.
  3. // Bake as indicated in chart or until golden brown.

High Altitude (over 5,000 feet): Prepare as directed, adding an additional 1 tbsp water.

    Add 3/4 cup fresh or frozen (thawed & drained) blueberries. Bake as directed.

  • Apple Crumb Bars

    Ingredients

    1 package Krusteaz Fat Free Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix

    1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt

    2 egg whites

    1 pouch apple filling (enclosed)

    3 tablespoons low fat margarine, softened

    1. //Preheat oven to 350°F. Set aside 1 cup Krusteaz Fat Free Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix.
    2. //Using an electric mixer, blend remaining Krusteaz Fat Free Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix, yogurt and egg whites on low speed until crumbly. Press mixture into bottom and sides of lightly greased 8x8x2-inch pan. Pour apple filling over crust. Add margarine to remaining Krusteaz Fat Free Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix, and blend with fork until crumbly. Top apple filling with crumbled mixture.
    3. //Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Orange Spice Muffins

    Ingredients

    1 package Krusteaz Fat Free Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix

    1 1/4 cups water

    1 pouch apple filling (enclosed)

    1 cup (11 oz can) Mandarin oranges, drained

    1 teaspoon allspice

    1. //Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease or paper line muffin pan.
    2. //In medium bowl, blend together Krusteaz Fat Free Apple Cinnamon Muffin Mix and water until moistened. Fold in apple filling, Mandarin oranges and allspice. Spoon batter into prepared pan, filling 2/3 full.
    3. //Bake 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
