Primary Prep, Ingredients & Nutritional Info

Start with: 2/3 Cup Water, 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil, 2 Eggs.

Just three easy steps

  1. // Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease pan.
  2. // Stir together water, oil, eggs and quick bread mix until moistened. Spoon batter into loaf pan or fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
  3. // Bake as directed or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; gently loosen and remove from pan. Store cooled muffins in tightly covered container.

High Altitude (over 5,000 feet): Prepare as directed, adding 1 tbsp all-purpose flour and an additional 2 tbsps water.

  • Oven Baked Banana French Toast

    Prep 30 min Total Time 2 hrs + Servings 8-10

    Ingredients

    1 package Krusteaz Banana Quick Bread Mix, prepared and baked as directed

    ½ cup (1 stick) butter

    1 tablespoon brown sugar

    6 large eggs

    1½ cups half and half or milk

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    ¼ teaspoon nutmeg, optional

    1. //Preheat oven to 350F°. Slice banana quick bread into 12 slices. Melt butter in 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Sprinkle sugar over butter; place 6 bread slices in pan.
    2. //Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg together until well blended. Pour half of egg mixture over bread slices. Add second bread layer; top with remaining egg mixture.
    3. //Cover tightly, refrigerate 1 hour or overnight. Bake 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Let sit 5 minutes; top with powdered sugar or maple syrup, if desired.
  • Pina Colada Muffins

    Ingredients

    1 package Krusteaz Banana Quick Bread Mix

    2/3 cup water

    1/2 cup crushed pineapple, well drained

    1/3 cup shredded coconut

    1/3 cup vegetable oil

    2 eggs

    1 teaspoon rum flavor, optional

    1. //Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease or paper-line muffin cups.
    2. //In medium bowl, stir together all ingredients until well blended. Fill prepared muffin cups 2/3 full.
    3. //Bake 17-19 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.

Banana Quick Bread : 2 Reviews

I love making Banana Quick Bread Mix but I add the following things to the mix--depending if I am using one or two boxes--I add about 1 cup chopped walnuts and 3 to 4 very ripe bananas--mashed up-Plus I double up on the ingredients--my only problem is I do not have the pan you list on the box--I have either a 9 x 13" pan or 7.1x11x2--so I can never figure what the correct cooking time is--can you please help out or at least start to list the 9 x 13 pan on the box

Hi Norma! There are a variety of pan sizes you can use and those are listed on our website at this link: http://www.krusteaz.com/products/pound-cakes-quick-breads/banana-quick-b....
When combining two boxes it is best to use either two loaf pans or you can definitely use a 9x13 pan, following the same bake time and temperature as a loaf pan, which is 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Adding the walnuts and bananas sounds delicious!!! Thanks for your question and happy baking!
