Chocolate Cinnamon Twists

Ingredients

1 package Krusteaz Chocolate Chunk Muffin Mix

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup warm water

1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/3 cup vegetable oil

3 eggs

1/3 cup butter, melted

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  • In medium bowl, stir together muffin mix, flour, water, yeast, oil and eggs until blended. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface; knead 20 times. Return dough to bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let dough rest for minimum two hours (or up to 10 hours) in warm place. Preheat oven to 350°F. Turn dough out onto well-floured surface. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll dough into tight log about 24 inches long; pinch seams to seal. To create twist, cut dough in half lengthwise, keeping the top 2 inches uncut. Twist sections together to create twisted braid. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 25-30 minutes. Check thickest part of braid for doneness.
