Scallion Pancakes

For the more savory palate, try mixing in garlic powder and sliced scallions with your pancake batter. Serve alongside steak and eggs or simply top with basic butter and enjoy for any mealtime.

Total time: 10-12 minutes
Servings: 4-8 pancakes


1 cup Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix
2/3 cup water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup thinly sliced scallions or green onions


Heat pancake griddle or skillet over medium heat and grease lightly. Whisk together pancake mix, water, garlic powder and scallions until combined. Batter will be slightly lumpy - do not overmix.

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the preheated griddle and cook pancakes for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

We enjoyed ours served with Korean beef bulgogi and fried egg for an Asian twist on 'steak & eggs'!
