1 package Krusteaz Butter Vanilla Sugar Cookie Mix

1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened

1 egg


Glossy Icing:

3 cups powdered sugar

3 tablespoons warm water

1 tablespoon light corn syrup

1/4 teaspoon almond extract or other clear flavor

Food coloring, if desired

  1. //Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. //For Cookies: In medium bowl, stir together all cookie ingredients until dough forms. Transfer dough to floured surface. Roll dough to ¼- inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with floured cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-11 minutes or until light golden brown around edges. Cool cookies completely before icing and decorating.
  3. //For Glossy Icing: In small bowl, stir together all icing ingredients until well blended and smooth. If adding food color, starting with a few drops until desired shade is reached.
