Start with: 5 tbsp butter, softened

Just three easy steps

  1. // Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease or butter 8x8-inch pan or 8 ramekins.
  2. // Stir together crisp topping mix and butter using a fork until mixture is crumbly. Prepare fruit as directed below and spoon into pan or ramekins. Evenly sprinkle topping mixture over fruit.
  3. // Bake as directed below until fruit is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Serve warm.

    1 package Krusteaz Crisp Topping Mix

    5 tablespoons butter, softened

    4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

    3 tablespoons sugar

    1 tablespoon cornstarch

    1. //Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter 8 ramekins.
    2. //Place Krusteaz Crisp Topping Mix and butter in a medium bowl. Using a fork, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; set aside. Place blueberries, sugar and cornstarch in another bowl; toss to coat well. Divide berry mixture evenly into 8 buttered ramekins, about ½ cup berries in each ramekin. Sprinkle crisp topping mixture evenly over fruit.
    3. //Place ramekins on a baking sheet and bake 35-40 minutes or until fruit is bubbly and crisp topping is golden brown.

    4-5 large apples, cored and cut in ½-thick slices

    3. //Place apple slices on baking sheet and sprinkle with crisp topping.

  • French Toast Crisp

    ½ cup butter, divided

    8 slices bread

    6 eggs

    ½ cup milk or half and half

    1 tsp vanilla

    ¼ tsp salt

    2 cups diced fresh apples

    ¼ cup dried cranberries

    1. //Heat oven to 350°F. Prepare crisp topping as directed on package; set aside.
    2. //Brush baking sheet with 3 tablespoons melted butter; place bread slices with edges touching.
    3. //Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt; pour over bread. Top with apples and cranberries. Sprinkle crumbled crisp topping over fruit.
    4. //Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Serve warm with maple syrup, if desired.
