1 package Krusteaz Whole Wheat Flatbread Mix

1 cup + 2 tablespoons very warm water (115-125°F)

1/4 cup vegetable oil


Flatbread Toppings:

Cooked, crumbled maple bacon

Sautéed apple slices

Shredded fontina or gruyere cheese

Crushed red pepper

Fresh sage, chopped

  1. // Heat oven to 475°F. Lightly grease baking sheet(s).
  2. // Stir together Krusteaz Whole Wheat Flatbread Mix and yeast. Add warm water and oil, stirring until dough forms a ball. To activate yeast, cover dough and let rest 10 minutes, or until oven is hot.
  3. // Shape dough by dividing into equal portions according to desired yield. With floured hands, pat out dough 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick, forming desired shape on prepared pan(s). Lightly top flatbread dough with bacon, apple slices, cheese, crushed red pepper and sage before baking.
  4. // Bake for 7-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
