Banana Waffles with Peanut Butter Syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Krusteaz® Gluten Free Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ cup Whole milk
  • ½ cup Ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 tsp Melted butter
  • ½ tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • Extra butter for greasing waffle maker
  • ¼ cup Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Smooth peanut butter
  • Topping 2 bananas, sliced (optional)

Directions

STEP 1

Preheat a Belgian waffle maker.

STEP 2

Combine pancake mix and cinnamon in a small mixing bowl. Set aside.

STEP 3

Combine vanilla, eggs, water, milk, banana and butter in large mixing bowl.

STEP 4

Pour dry mixture into the wet ingredients and stir until just mixed. Batter will be slightly lumpy. Butter the waffle maker on both sides.

STEP 5

Pour batter by 1/2 cup into waffle maker and cook per manufacturer directions. Be sure to butter the waffle maker before cooking each waffle.

STEP 6

Top each waffle with peanut butter, syrup and banana slices.
