Cheddar & Sage Waffles

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Krusteaz® Belgian Waffle Mix
  • 1½ cups Water
  • 2 Eggs
  • ⅓ cup Oil
  • 1 tbsp Fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Chives, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • ½ cup Sharp cheddar cheese
  • Crisp, cooked bacon (optional)

Directions

STEP 1

Heat and lightly grease Belgian or conventional waffle iron.

STEP 2

In medium bowl, blend together Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix, eggs, oil, water and spices. Fold in cheese. Pour batter onto prepared waffle iron.

STEP 3

Cook waffles 3-4 minutes until golden brown, or according to waffle iron directions. Serve with bacon.
