Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) Butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Directions

STEP 1

In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter on medium speed until it's smooth and creamy.

STEP 2

Add half of the powdered sugar and half of the cocoa powder, then beat for about 3 minutes.

STEP 3

Scrape the bowl and paddle, then add the remaining powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Beat for another 3 minutes.

STEP 4

Scrape the bowl and paddle, then add the milk and vanilla. Beat on medium-high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.
