Gluten Free Brookies

Ingredients

  • Brownie Layer
  • 1 package Krusteaz Gluten Free Double Chocolate Brownie Mix
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • 1 Egg
  • Cookie Layer
  • 1 box Krusteaz Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) Butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp Water

Directions

STEP 1

Heat oven to 325°F. Lightly grease 8x8-inch baking pan.

STEP 2

Prepare brownie batter as directed, spreading evenly into prepared pan.

STEP 3

In medium bowl, combine cookie mix, egg, butter and water until dough forms, hand kneading if necessary.

STEP 4

Scoop dough by 1 ½ rounded tablespoons (or with #20 scoop).

STEP 5

Gently flatten 9 dough balls and place on top of brownie batter in 3 rows of 3.
(Note: Remaining dough balls can be baked according to cookie mix package directions.)

STEP 6

Bake brookies 50-55 minutes or until cookie top is lightly browned, center is set and edges have begun to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan before cutting.
