Gluten Free Chocolate Cherry Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups Krusteaz Gluten Free All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¾ cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Dried cherries

Directions

STEP 1

Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.

STEP 2

In medium bowl, whisk together flour, soda, salt, and cocoa powder until blended. Set aside.

STEP 3

Using an electric mixer, cream butter, sugar and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.

STEP 4

Add dry mixture to butter mixture and mix just until combined. Be sure to scrape sides and bottom of bowl to incorporate all dry ingredients.

STEP 5

Stir in chocolate chips and cherries.

STEP 6

Scoop dough by 2 rounded tablespoons and place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheet. Gently flatten cookies slightly with palm of hand.

STEP 7

Bake 9-11 minutes or until cookies look set in center. Cool 5 minutes and remove from cookie sheet. Store cooled cookies in airtight container.
