Sausage & Apple Johnny Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 18 oz pouch Krusteaz Ready to Bake Cornbread Batter
  • 3 oz Cooked breakfast sausage, finely chopped (about ½ cup)
  • 1/3 cup Apple, finely chopped

Directions

STEP 1

Heat griddle to 375°F. Lightly grease griddle.

STEP 2

Cut pouch open and squeeze batter into medium bowl.

STEP 3

Stir in chopped sausage and apples until blended.

STEP 4

Scoop ¼ cup batter per johnny cake onto griddle.

STEP 5

Cook 2 ½ minutes per side, flipping only once.

STEP 6

Serve warm with maple syrup or your favorite topping.
