Churro Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches

4 ice cream sandwiches
3 cups Krusteaz® Cinnamon Churro Belgian Waffle Mix
1 cup Cold water
2 Eggs
½ cup Vegetable oil
1 pint Chocolate ice cream, slightly softened
1 cup Dulce de leche sauce
STEP 1

Heat and lightly grease waffle iron.

STEP 2

Measure mix by lightly spooning it into measuring cup and leveling it off.

STEP 3

Whisk mix, water, eggs, and oil until smooth. Let batter stand 5 minutes. Pour about 2/3 cup batter onto waffle iron.

STEP 4

Cook waffle until steaming stops or until golden brown. Remove and let cool. Repeat with 2nd waffle.

STEP 5

To Fill: Scoop ice cream on top of one waffle, gently spreading almost to edge. Place second waffle on top of first, gently pressing down. Cut ice cream sandwich into 4 wedges. Note: Place waffle sandwich in freezer for 20 minutes if too soft to cut. Wrap and store in freezer until ready to eat.

STEP 6

Drizzle each sandwich with ¼ cup dulce de leche sauce. Enjoy!
