Start with: 1.2 Cup Water, 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil, 2 Eggs

Just three easy steps

  1. // Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease pan or line muffin pan with paper baking cups.
  2. // STIR together water, oil, eggs and mun mix until blended. Gently stir undrained cranberries into batter. FILL mun cups 2/3 full. For loaf, spread batter into lightly greased loaf pan.
  3. // Bake as directed below or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; gently loosen and remove from pan. Store cooled muffins in tightly covered container.

High Altitude (over 5,000 feet): Prepare as directed, adding 1 tbsp all-purpose flour and an additional 2 tbsps water.

  • Citrus Sunshine Orange Muffins

    Spoon batter into prepped muffin pan. Top each with 1 heaping tsp orange marmalade. Press lightly into batter.

    Cranberry Pineapple Spice Loaf

    Add 1/2 cup drained, crushed pineapple & 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Spoon batter into loaf pan. Bake at 350ºF 45-50 minutes.

    Add 1/2 cup raisins. Bake as directed.

    Sprinkle batter with brown sugar, cinnamon & rolled oats before baking. Bake as directed.

  • Almond Plum Cake

    Ingredients

    1 package Krusteaz Cranberry Orange Muffin Mix

    1/2 cup water

    1/3 cup vegetable oil

    2 eggs

    1/2 tsp almond extract

    1 can cranberries (enclosed)

    3 fresh plums, thinly sliced

    1. //Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 9-inch spring form pan.
    2. //2Stir together water, oil, eggs, almond extract and muffin mix until blended. Gently stir in undrained cranberries into batter.
    3. //Spoon batter into pan. Arrange plum slices evenly over batter.
    4. //Bake 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Makes 12 servings.
  • Guilt Free Baked Donuts

    Ingredients

    Donuts:

    1 package Krusteaz Fat Free Cranberry Orange Muffin Mix

    1 can cranberries (enclosed)

    3/4 cup water

    Icing:

    1 cup powdered sugar

    2 tablespoons milk

    Reserved liquid from cranberries

    1. //Preheat oven to 350°F. Drain cranberries, reserving liquid for icing.
    2. //For Donuts: In medium bowl, stir together Krusteaz Fat Free Cranberry Orange Muffin Mix, cranberries and water until well blended. Place dough in heavy gallon-size sealable bag. Snip end of bag 1/8-inch from corner. Pipe dough into mini donut pan or onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
    3. //Bake 5-7 minutes or until donuts spring back when lightly touched.
    4. //For Icing: Place icing ingredients in small bowl; whisk together until smooth. Drizzle donuts with icing or sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

Bought this for a 'quick fix' on Easter morning (having family over for breakfast).....what a HUGE mistake. The muffins turned out heavy, globby, rubber like cakes that stuck to the paper liners. I live at 5300 feet, and did the added flour adjustment for high altitude. This was the one bread item I was to serve with the rest of the meal. I should have made my planned coffee cake!! I am an excellent cook, and usually make everything from scratch. What is up with this mix????

For medical reasons I need to be on a low fat diet, I have bought this mix over and over because they are the best fat free muffins I have found!

For years I've purchased the low fat version in the original box. this year I can't find it an dnow have to purchased this version. On the 16th of September I perchase two boxes of the orange cranberry muffin mix. I opend one box this morning the 18th of September 2016, I emptied the dry packaged into a mixing bowl...it was full of bugs, no mistaking what they were. I then opened the second box, no need to open the dry package, the bugs were clearly visible. I'm very unhappy, at this point I'm not sure I'll purchase anymore Krusteaz products. I've always used the cornbread mix and muffin mixes. Please bring back the original orange cranberry without bugs...
