Cheddar & Sage Waffles

3 cups Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix

1 1/2 cups water

2 eggs

1/3 cup oil

1 tablespoon fresh sage, finely chopped

1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese

Crisp, cooked bacon (optional)

  1. // Heat and lightly grease Belgian or conventional waffle iron.
  2. // In medium bowl, blend together Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix, eggs, oil, water and spices. Fold in cheese. Pour batter onto prepared waffle iron.
  3. // Cook waffles 3-4 minutes until golden brown, or according to waffle iron directions. Serve with bacon.
