Gluten Free Sprinkle Brownies

STEP 1
Heat oven to 325°F. Lightly grease 8x8-inch pan.
STEP 2
Stir together water, oil and egg until combined. Add brownie mix and stir until well-blended.
STEP 3
Spoon batter into pan and spread evenly. For best results, let batter sit in pan for 5 minutes before baking.

Bake 48-52 minutes. Cool completely.

For Frosting: Melt butter in small saucepan over low heat. Add cocoa and stir until mixture is smooth and thick. Remove from heat and transfer to medium bowl. Cool slightly.
STEP 6
Add milk and vanilla alternately with powdered sugar to bowl and beat with electric mixer or whisk until desired spreading consistency.
STEP 7
Spread frosting evenly over cooled brownies and scatter sprinkles over top.
Alternate milks or heavy cream can be used in place of regular milk in frosting.
