Italian Cornbread Skillet
This Italian Cornbread Skillet starts with Krusteaz’s Southern Cornbread & Muffin Mix and gets a savory boost from pepperoni, roasted peppers, and gooey cheese. Baked all in one pan, it’s a hearty, flavor-packed dish that works as a comforting main or a standout side. Minimal prep, big payoff.

STEP 1
Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease 10-inch cast iron skillet.
STEP 2
Prepare the peppers and tomatoes, and chop the pepperoni.
STEP 3
Whisk together milk, melted butter, and eggs in large bowl. Add cornbread mix, pepperoni, peppers, tomatoes, oregano, and shredded cheese. Stir until blended.
STEP 4
Pour batter into prepared skillet.
STEP 5
Bake 24 - 26 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Top should be golden brown.
STEP 6
Serve warm with marinara sauce, if desired.
