Cookies:
1 Package Krusteaz Butter Vanilla Sugar Cookie Mix
1/3 Cup Butter or Margarine, Softened
1 Egg

Glossy Icing:
3 Cups Powdered Sugar
3 Tbsp Warm Water
1 Tbsp Light Corn Syrup
1/4 Tsp Almond Extract or Other Clear Flavor
Food Coloring, If Desired
STEP 1

Heat oven to 350°F.

STEP 2

For Cookies: In medium bowl, stir together all cookie ingredients until dough forms. Transfer dough to floured surface. Roll dough to ¼- inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with floured cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-11 minutes or until light golden brown around edges. Cool cookies completely before icing and decorating.

STEP 3

For Glossy Icing: In small bowl, stir together all icing ingredients until well blended and smooth. If adding food color, starting with a few drops until desired shade is reached.
