Gluten Free Santa Hat Brownies

STEP 1
Heat oven to 325°F. Lightly grease 8x8-inch baking pan.
STEP 2
Stir together water, oil and egg until combined. Add brownie mix and stir until well-blended.
STEP 3
Spoon batter into pan and spread evenly. For best results, let batter sit in pan for 5 minutes before baking.
STEP 4
Bake 48-52 minutes. Cool completely before cutting or removing from pan.
STEP 5
Cut brownies into 16, 2x2-inch squares. (Or cut brownies with a 1 ½-inch round biscuit cutter.)
STEP 6
Top each square with a dollop of whipped cream or frosting. Place one strawberry on topping with point facing up. Add a tiny dollop of cream/frosting at the tip to create Santa hat.
Repurpose brownie scraps by crumbling them up to use as a delicious topping for ice cream sundaes.
