Is the butter in this recipe suppose to be melted or cut into pads and cut into the cookie mix?

The butter for this recipe should be in cut into small pieces and not melted.

Can this recipe be made ahead of time and baked later? Do you think it can be frozen?

Hi Wanda! Once you add water, the leavening may be deactivated (meaning if the recipe calls for it to rise, it may not). We don't recommend you making this ahead of time. ~Customer Support

Do you prepare dough according to instructions on box before making the cobbler?

Do you make the cookie mix according to directions on box and then add butter and egg?

Hi Shelli,
If you make this recipe, you would use the ingredients specified and disregard the directions on the box.
