Snow Day

The first snowfall is magical! The 28th snow day, not so much. We’ve pulled together a few ideas to avoid the dreaded phrase “We’re bored” and get everyone to play nicely in the kitchen.

Double Banana Nut Dessert

Prep 15 min Total Time 1 hr Servings 12

Ingredients

Cobbler:

1 package Krusteaz Banana Nut Muffin Mix, divided

1 cup milk

1/2 cup melted butter

4 medium bananas, sliced

2 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, optional

Topping:

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup oatmeal

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  1. //Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease 13x9x2-inch pan.
  2. //For Cobbler: In medium bowl, stir together 2 cups Krusteaz Banana Nut Muffin Mix, milk and butter until blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Layer sliced bananas over batter. Top with honey and cinnamon, if desired.
  3. //For Topping: In small bowl, add remaining Krusteaz Banana Nut Muffin Mix, brown sugar, butter, oatmeal and nuts; stir until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over bananas. Bake 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
