Caramel Cashew Cookie Bars
We're kicking off December baking in the kitchen! This year, I'm working my mixer on overdrive and have quite a few treats on a very long list to make for family and friends. Servings: 12 bars
1 package Krusteaz Butter Vanilla Sugar Cookie Mix
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup salted cashews, finely chopped
1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 13x9x2 inch pan.
In a large bowl, combine cookie mix, eggs, butter, cashews and caramel topping until dough forms, hand kneading if necessary. Evenly press dough into prepared pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove cookie bars from oven and allow to cool thoroughly before cutting. Store cooled cookies in airtight container.
