Cheddar & Sage Waffles

These savory Cheddar and Sage Waffles are perfect for breakfast or brunch.

3 cups Krusteaz® Belgian Waffle Mix
1½ cups Water
2 Eggs
⅓ cup Oil
1 tbsp Fresh sage, finely chopped
1 tbsp Chives, finely chopped
½ tsp Black pepper
½ cup Sharp cheddar cheese
Crisp, cooked bacon (optional)
STEP 1

Heat and lightly grease Belgian or conventional waffle iron.

STEP 2

In medium bowl, blend together Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix, eggs, oil, water and spices. Fold in cheese. Pour batter onto prepared waffle iron.

STEP 3

Cook waffles 3-4 minutes until golden brown, or according to waffle iron directions. Serve with bacon.
